The Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics (a subdivision of the University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz (Austria), ("us", "we", or "our") operates the website Pd Community Site and the "Deken External Search" (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. Our Privacy Policy for Foo Bar is created with the help of the Free Privacy Policy website.

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected

Usage Data

When you access the Service, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to:

• your IP address, your operating system
• the data and time when you accessed our service
• the page referrer of the request
• the type of Internet browser you use
• and other diagnostic data ("Usage Data").

When using the deken externals manager (a tool that searches/downloads/installs extension packages from within Pd), we collect the following additional data:

• version of Pd/Deken/TclTk
• architecture (OS/CPU-type/floatsize) of Pure Data (that is used to issue the search request)

Personal Data

When creating an account on our Service, we ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

• user name
• password (stored as a secure hash)
• email address
• full name (if/as provided)
• the date of account creation
• last login date
• any data item (files, pages, ...) on the portal is attributed to the account that created it

Data Retention Policy

The data collected for accessing our website is stored for 30 days.

The data collected when using the deken Service for searching for Pd externals is stored for 360 days.

The personal data collected for maintaining user accounts is kept until account deletion. Data items created by the users, are kept until deleted by the user.

Disclosure of Data to third parties

We occasionally create anonymised usage statistics from the deken queries on the use of externals and and to platforms Pd is being run on, in order to help improving the development process of Pd. These statistics are published on demand via the Pure Data mailinglists .

Apart from that, none of the data we collect is made available to any third party whatsoever.
