hans' pure data projects

I would very much like to hear computer music that comes out of other musical traditions besides the Western Music System. In particular, I am interested in computer music from the Middle East and Indian subcontinent. Please email me if you know of any.

Works

What I do when I am not working on Pd: Works

I blog here sometimes:
Play the Records

Donations

I am one of many Pd developers who would love to earn a living working on making Pd better. If I were to get paid to work on Pd, I would devote a lot more of my time to it. If you would like to support this idea, please donate:

Ideally, we will have a system where all of the Pd developers can get paid for their work. I intend to create a more organized system for this. Basically I would like to emulate the GNOME Bounty system. The last thing I would like to happen is for all of the Pd donations to come to me because I am only but a small part of this whole thing.

HID

I am interested in physical interfaces to computer music. Here are some objects I have written for Pd to enable the use of HIDs like joysticks, mice, tablets, etc.

serendiPd

I really like the idea of Pair Programming that is the central idea of "Extreme Programming" so I creating a client and a server that allows multiple people to edit the same shared patch at the same time. My future plan is to add state management and set up a permanent server so that it would act like a Pd wiki basically.

Installers and Packages

I am very interested in making Pd accessible to all people in the world so I am working on making it as easy to install and learn. I am collecting Pd documentation in as many languages as possible and I am working on packaging Pd for the platforms that I know MacOS X, Windows, and Debian GNU/Linux.

Hans, I like physical interfaces too. I build stuff like that, but i don't write the objects for them. I tested your compiled version on OS X. It works fine.-eva

how come you could use them? is there any library i should download to be able to use the hid objects under mac os x? My terminal says:

load_object: Symbol "_linuxevent_setup" not found linuxevent ... couldn't create
