original OpenCV-Private-Framework-1.2.dmg can be found on
http://www.ient.rwth-aachen.de/cms/software/opencv/
this framework needs to be installed first.
-open it and drop the OpenCV.framework into your /Library/Frameworks/ folder

if you have to build it yourself(on OSX):

- in configure.ac, uncomment the following line:

dnl AC_CHECK_LIB(cv, cvSobel, , AC_MSG_ERROR(you need to install opencv library (libcv)))

- in makefile change CPPFLAGS to CPPFLAGS += -DDARWIN -arch i386
