- design of file read classes: writing and documenting only the header files of all involved classes
- evaluation of the file read classes by comparing them to the main File IO libraries (especially checking if this design is also usefull for Direct Show and Apples Quicktime)
- design and evaluation of file write classes: again writing the documentation and header files (and also comparing it to the current solution in GEM - pix_record)
- design and evaluation (docu of firewire, video4linux, DS, QT, ...) of stream write/read classes and maybe writing a general base class for input (stream and file in) and output (stream and file out)
- implementing one example plugin for all 4 cases
