In PureData, real numbers are of the IEEE-754 32 bit floating point type with a precision of about 9 or 10 decimal digits. For reference, see e.g. http://research.microsoft.com/~hollasch/cgindex/coding/ieeefloat.html or http://www.math.byu.edu/~schow/work/IEEEFloatingPoint.htm .
Note that PureData has no special type for representing integer numbers.
