IF

For some reason I couldn't break free of my old flow control habits and created a Frankensteinish IF function.

Spinning Globe

The intent was to design an interactive system which would translate MIDI data into useable values and vectors which could be mapped to three dimensional objects. The current fledgling implementation maps the speed which a performer plays onto a 3D spinning globe.

This was an opportunity for me to work with the MIDI functions of Miller Puckett's "Pure Data" program. Mark Dank's GEM video libraries for PD provided a ready environment for intermediate testing of useable values. Ultimately the intent is to send the vectored data out another MIDI channel into a computer running more complex 3D realtime animation software, such as LightWave 3D.

The original concept for this project was developed by Jack Perla.
