PONG for Pure Data by Francisco Vítola — last modified 2014-04-16 05:39 PM
Simple pong game completely programmed in Pure Data. Up arrow resets and launches the ball randomly. Left and right move the player. A little dirty, but simple and relatively functional/ stable.
PONG 3D for Pure Data by Francisco Vítola — last modified 2011-12-03 03:18 AM
3D version of the primordial PONG game, completely programmed in Pd. Press the "z" key to launch the ball randomly. Use the arrow keys to control the player.
Thermostate for Pure Data and Arduino by Francisco Vítola — last modified 2014-04-15 04:15 AM
Example of patch for controlling a thermostatic device, using an LM35 thermometer and an Arduino board. The port number used for the message "open" varies depending on the computer. It can be checked using Arduino software. Set the correct digital pin for using as the heating element switch (default: 9). Analog port A1 was selected for receiving signals from the LM35. The function in "expr" was determined empirically and converts data from volts scale to celsius scale (and should be experimentally determined for every new system built). "Moses" objects define the temperature setpoint.
Online biomass sensor based in laser absorption for Pure Data and Arduino by Francisco Vítola — last modified 2014-04-16 05:27 PM
Pure Data patch for controlling a biomass measuring system for bioreactors. An Arduino board is used as the interface for connecting a phototransistor, a laser source and a solenoid valve to the PC. The phototransistor is fed through digital port 3 and outputs its signal to analog port 1. The laser source is fed through digital port 5. Solenoid valve (normally open) is actuated through port 9 (a relay might be necessary). The solenoid valve is periodically closed in order to pump samples from the bioreactor to an absorbance reading photocell. The sample washes the cell for 5 seconds. The laser source and the phototransistor are turned on and the values read by the sensor are registered and displayed graphically.
